Spring Break is coming up! Are you looking forward to it? There will be no classes March 18-22.
Have you heard about Alternative Spring Break? An awesome experience for students available through the Thayne Center.
The last day to withdraw (no refunds) is March 26th.
To celebrate with you we are offering half-off our Career Assessments for today, October 6th. You may purchase at the half-off price in person or by phone. Call 801-957-4978 for info.
SLCC’s Student Writing Center now offers live online tutoring. Really!! How great is that?
Students who don’t have time to meet with a writing tutor at one of their four locations can speak with a tutor live online. Visit their live online tutoring page to make an appointment with one of the tutors and learn how to access the chat system. A web cam is helpful but not necessary. Since they’re trying to make this a productive experience for you, it is necessary to have audio capabilities on your computer (mic & headphones).
Questions? Click here for their page and to watch a tinychat orientation.
Don’t let illness or stress get you down while you’re working in school.
Visit the Health & Wellness Services at these three locations:
Interested in participating in a focus group for healthy eating and physical activity? Meetings will be on February 9th and 16th. If you are interested, contact Tatiana Burton in Health and Wellness Services: 801.957.4837 or tatiana.burton@slcc.edu.

Math Final Reviews will be held on December 10th. They will be taught as follows:
There is a new Fractions Workshop course, MATH 0915, that is being offered in December Term. It is a 1 cr. class that will benefit students who have placed into or even taken Math 0900, Math 0920, Math 0950 and even Math 0990 and Math 1010. It is a quick refresher course for students who struggle with fractions. The class will be graded on a pass-fail basis.
After taking the workshop, you can retake the Accuplacer and hopefully place in a higher math class. If you place into a higher level course for Spring, and if all sections in that new placement math class are full, please contact Academic Advisor Marilyn Brumbaugh.
